The Radon Boss Badge of Compliance
Turn required testing into a selling point: after results come in under 4.0 pCi/L, we issue the Radon Boss Badge of Compliance for your proposals and marketing. Owners get a credible value add; tenants get confidence — giving you a clear edge against your competitors.
With us, multifamily radon testing is simple. Before you sign an agreement, we review your construction plans. We tell you the estimated cost and how many test locations your property needs to meet HUD, FHA, Fannie Mae, or private-lender guidelines. This review is part of your free proposal. An NRPP-certified Radon Measurement Professional (RMP) calculates the number and placement of tests. The RMP also writes a QA/QC plan with duplicates, blanks, and equipment checks. The RMP then schedules testing to match construction turnover. We can test the whole site at once or in phases.
-
Plan & QC: RMP defines test counts/locations and the QA/QC steps to ensure defensible results.
-
Test & Conditions: Short-term kits run up to 72 hours under closed-house rules. Occupants may remain; doors and windows stay closed except for normal entry and exit. For more details, see our post on closed-building conditions.
-
Retrieve & Analyze: The RMP retrieves the kits and sends them to an independent lab for analysis.
Lastly, you receive a clear report with results and next steps. From start to finish, the final report can be delivered within 10 business days.
Does my property need radon testing? (Short answer: yes.)
While it really depends on your goals, most paths point to “yes.” Usually, if a lender is involved, testing is required. If you want a safer, more marketable property, testing is the smart move.
-
Lender compliance: If you’re financing with HUD, FHA, Fannie Mae, or most private lenders, testing is required. We review your plans (free) and tell you how many units must be tested to stay compliant, as that varies.
-
Health & liability: Radon can cause lung cancer. Testing saves lives and reduces risk for owners and tenants.
-
Marketing advantage: We turn compliance into an asset—giving you tools to showcase completed testing as a real benefit to your audience.
If you’re unsure, schedule a quick chat. We’ll review your plans, confirm your obligations, and include the unit count and cost with no obligation from you.
I would highly recommend using the radon boss for your testing needs.I called on a Wednesday evening for an initial proposal and was able to have a completed test report in hand by the following Friday. They were extremely professional and efficient throughout the process. I will be using them again if I need radon testing done.
From the initial call to the final report, Sarah was a total pro, well-informed, responsive, and thorough. I highly recommend using The Radon Boss for radon testing needs.
They are certified (many other testers aren’t) and she’ll work with you to right-size the approach for your specific circumstances.
